This is a complete day trip, 291 km and at least 5h of curvy roads. This trip starts in Madrid, at Plaza Castilla, one of the main entrances / exits to the capital and therefore a perfect meeting point for the day.
Leaving Madrid to the west, we first arrive «El Escorial», very well known because of its monastery, leaving behind the bikers meeting point par excellence called «Cruz verde», very crowded at the weekends, heading towards our first stop at Burgohondo, already very near to the mountain road that will climb the Mijares pass. You should have a brunch there, looking forward to a quite long time of bends, great views and fun!
Once you come down the Mijares pass, continue back to Madrid on good and now faster roads. Be careful on weekends, this part sometimes has much traffic in the afternoon.
